To engage our Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, we respectfully ask that you refrain from using this Website or submitting a service request.
3. Service Description
Mongkol offers specialist watch repair and restoration services for mechanical, automatic, and hand-wound timepieces at our workshop in Chiang Mai. The three principal service tiers are:
- Refresh & Lubrication — A light interval service including cleaning of accessible components, fresh lubrication, timing regulation, and seal inspection.
- Complete Overhaul — Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, oiling, mainspring renewal where required, multi-position regulation, and gasket refresh.
- Fine Restoration — A comprehensive overhaul combined with careful case finish renewal and dial and hand attention, suited to elegant or vintage dress watches.
Services are performed in person at our workshop. We do not currently offer a postal or courier service. All timepieces must be brought in by the owner or an authorised representative.
Availability is subject to workshop capacity. We reserve the right to decline service for timepieces that fall outside our areas of competence.
4. User Responsibilities
When using this Website and when engaging our Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when making an enquiry or service request.
- Disclose any known damage, prior repairs, or modifications to your timepiece at the time of drop-off.
- Collect your timepiece within 30 days of notification that it is ready, unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- Use this Website only for lawful purposes and refrain from any conduct that could harm our systems, reputation, or other users.
The following activities are not permitted on this Website:
- Scraping, harvesting, or copying content for commercial use without written consent.

5. Intellectual Property
All Content on this Website — including text, photography, design elements, service descriptions, and the Mongkol name — belongs to us or is used under licence. No part may be reproduced, distributed, or adapted without our prior written permission.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to view and use this Website solely for the purpose of learning about our Services and making contact with us. This licence does not extend to any commercial use.
Any feedback, suggestions, or comments you share with us may be used by Mongkol without obligation or attribution, unless separately agreed.
6. Payment Terms
All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of labour unless otherwise noted. Parts, where required, will be quoted separately before any work proceeds.
A deposit of 30% of the agreed service price may be requested at the time of drop-off. The remaining balance is payable upon collection of the timepiece. We accept payment by cash and bank transfer. Credit or debit card acceptance is subject to availability at the time of your visit.
Quoted prices are estimates based on the information available at assessment. Should additional work be identified during the service, we will contact you to discuss the revised scope before proceeding.
In the event of cancellation after work has commenced, reasonable costs for work completed to that point may be charged.
7. Service-Specific Terms
The following additional terms apply to all service work carried out at our workshop:
- Timelines — Indicated turnaround times (under two weeks for Refresh & Lubrication; three to four weeks for Complete Overhaul; five to eight weeks for Fine Restoration) are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability or workshop conditions.
- Pre-service assessment — Every timepiece undergoes an initial inspection before work begins. We will advise you of our findings and confirm the scope before proceeding.
- Documentation — For Fine Restoration, all work steps are documented and a written summary is provided upon completion.
- Uncollected watches — Timepieces not collected within 90 days of notification, with no response to repeated contact, may be subject to storage charges at our discretion.
- Water resistance — We test seals during service; however, we cannot warrant continued water resistance after the timepiece leaves our workshop, as seals may be affected by temperature, pressure, or use.
8. Disclaimers
This Website and its Content are provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. We make no representations regarding the completeness or currency of information at any given time.
Watch repair involves inherent uncertainty, particularly with older or rare movements. While our specialists work with care and skill, we cannot commit in advance to any specific outcome beyond our agreed scope of work.
Nothing on this Website should be interpreted as a warranty that any particular timepiece can be returned to a specific performance standard.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Mongkol's total liability to you for any claim arising from our Services or this Website shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of use of a timepiece, sentimental loss, or loss of expected resale value, except where such loss arises from our negligence.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supplier delays, utility interruptions, or force majeure events.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Mongkol, its staff, and representatives harmless from any claims, costs, or losses arising from:
- Your misuse of this Website.
- False or misleading information provided by you in connection with a service request.
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Termination
Either party may end a service arrangement before work begins without penalty, provided notice is given promptly and in writing. Where work has already commenced, reasonable costs for completed work may apply.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service in circumstances where we have reason to believe that the information provided is incorrect, or where we are unable to proceed safely and competently with the work.
Sections 5, 8, 9, and 10 of these Terms survive the end of any service engagement.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or related to our Services shall first be addressed through direct discussion between the parties, and we will make every reasonable effort to reach a fair and considerate resolution.
If a matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to the courts of Chiang Mai, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
We do not participate in any consumer arbitration scheme at this time, but we remain open to mediation as an alternative where both parties agree.
13. General Provisions
- Entire agreement — These Terms, together with any written service quotation, constitute the complete agreement between you and Mongkol regarding the matters described herein.
- Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver — Our decision not to enforce a particular provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision in the future.
- Assignment — You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a transfer of the business.
- Notices — Formal notices should be sent to our workshop address or to [email protected].
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we do, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.
Continued use of this Website or engagement of our Services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you find any change materially unacceptable, you are welcome to discuss it with us directly.
